October Days

I slept in this morning till 7:25. Very late for me. I was up late, up in the middle of the night for an hour or so, I guess I needed it. It's just weird to wake up with it already light outside.

It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. The sky is that autumn blue that carries just a touch of silver undertone. Temps will be in the low 50's, so it's sweatshirt time. I think I'll pack a lunch and head to the State Park for awhile before my 4pm shift. The water takes on an especially deep blue as it gets colder, and it'll be nice and quiet there.

The nights will carry the frosty temps below 30. I put an extra blanket in with the kitties and worried about them(probably why I was awake at 4am.), but they seem to have done okay. I still don't know what's going on with them finding new homes yet. Potsey's got classes all week, and his girlfriend is in Chicago till later today. They'll both need nudged to get them taken care of. I'm worried.

I am finding my way around here better. Still have some decisions to make about migrating and saving my other journals. I have a terrible habit of procrastinating. This may help me break that habit. It will at least improve my computer skills!

Short and sweet is the catch phrase for today, I've got some things to do before I head to the lake. So, as always...

~Thanks For Stopping By~

  1. I know what you mean about the migration. I'm just going to let AOL do what they want. When the dust settles I'll see how it turned out. If it's awful it can be fixed or just deleted. I have my space on Blogger so we'll just have to wait and see.

  2. It's wet rainy and cold outside today. I'm loving the fire in the pellet stove. Unfortunately it doesn't heat upstairs as much as we had hoped. Time will tell. If you need any help on this side of the blogsphere, just give a shout out I'll help if I can. (Hugs)Indigo

  3. It's a beautiful day here as well and I was one of the few in my household that did get to see the sun come up.
Hope you enjoy your day and the weekend that is to follow.
    Take care,

  4. Sounds like a beautiful fall day for you. We got a little rain overnight, but it's starting to clear up now!

  5. It's hard to believe it's already Friday. It's been a tumultuous week for all of us. Beautiful day here in PA as well.

There is an easy way to save your journal if you don't trust what AOL night do to it. Internet Explorer, type in the name of your journal. find it on the list and open it. File, Save As, Save. I did it.

  6. It's been chilly but beautiful here in PA also. I love fall. Enjoy your weekend.

  7. Glad to see yur finding your way around... tried to leave ya bread crumbs but I got hungry LOL... and the fireflies flew away....

I have yet to put my picture on my webbie journal... except for the lil slideshow I played with... looking for a better slideshow though...

  8. It was such a shock (and such short notice!) to find that our journals would be gone...I hope we don't lose everything.

The weather here in Carolina is nice today - very cool, crisp and autumny.

    Have a great weekend!

  9. Hi hon!! you are doing great :) I hate major change also, but you know that. So far I've managed to accomplish SOME things. If you need any help I can try to help.
As far as the temperatures are concerned it was about 85* today, it only gets in the upper 60's at night, for a few nights there it got down in the middle 50's and it was so nice. Hopefully by the middle of this coming week it will become much cooler ~ even in the day. I can't wait!!
I have a private blog which I'm going to send you a link to. Do I use the other email or your AOL? That's going to be just as hard because so many are just dropping AOL completely and getting new email addy's. ughhhhh LOL. Have a good evening and good luck with the babies (kittens). Blessings and Hugz** Teresa
